nterco is a professional social networking platform. You use nterco to build a professional identity, connect with people and organisations, exchange messages, publish professional content, discover opportunities, and be discovered. This Privacy Policy explains how nterco collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal data, and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Introduction

At nterco, we are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about our data practices. This Policy applies to all nterco services, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, "Services").

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to:

  • Members who create an account
  • Visitors who view public nterco content without an account
  • People who interact with nterco features, pages, or content outside the platform where applicable

3.1 Data You Provide Directly

Account data: name, email address, phone number, password

Profile data: photo, headline, bio, education, employment history, skills, certifications, affiliations, languages, portfolio links

Verification data: workplace, school, national ID, or peer verification details, where you choose to verify

Content: posts, comments, reactions, messages, documents, images, videos

Payments: subscription or feature purchase records, when applicable

Support communications: messages, emails, feedback, reports

3.2 Data Collected From Your Use of nterco

Usage data: searches, profile views, connections, follows, content interactions

Messaging metadata: timestamps, participants, delivery status

Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, app version, crash logs

Approximate location: derived from IP address

3.3 Data From Others

  • Information other members provide about you, such as mentions, endorsements, recommendations, or peer verification
  • Data from organisations or institutions involved in verification, where you authorise this
  • Data from third party sign in providers, if enabled

3.4 Data About Visitors

If you view public profiles or content, nterco may collect limited technical and log data for security, performance, and fraud prevention.

  • Personalise search, recommendations, and discovery

nterco does not sell personal data.

5. Profile Visibility and Defaults

  • Profiles are public by default
  • Email addresses and phone numbers are hidden by default
  • You control visibility of individual profile fields, posts, activity signals, and connections through settings

6. Messaging Defaults

By default, any member may message you. You can restrict messaging through your settings.

7. Advertising and Promotions

nterco does not run third party behavioural advertising. However, members and member organisations run sponsored/promoted campaigns on nterco.

Promoted content on nterco is limited to:

  • Member sponsored posts
  • Company or organisation sponsored content
  • Promotions that are professional, contextual, and platform related

Where required by law, consent mechanisms are provided.

8. How We Share Information

8.1 On the platform

Your content and profile information are shared based on your visibility settings.

8.2 With service providers

We share data with trusted vendors who help us operate the platform, such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment processing, verification, and security services. They process data only under our instructions.

8.3 With verification partners

We share limited data with workplaces, schools, identity providers, or peers solely for verification purposes, where you request or consent.

8.4 Legal and safety reasons

We may disclose data to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and integrity of members and the platform.

8.5 Business changes

If nterco undergoes a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data requests can be made by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days. In complex cases, we may extend this by an additional 60 days and will notify you of any delay. We may require verification of your identity before processing requests.

Deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period.

nterco operates across multiple countries. Personal data may be processed or stored outside your country of residence using appropriate safeguards.

We apply administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. No system is completely secure.

14. Minimum Age

You must be at least 16 years old or must have completed high school to use nterco.

If we become aware that a user is under 16 and or has not completed high school, we will promptly delete their account and associated personal data, except where we are required to retain it by law. Parents or guardians who believe their child has created an account may contact us using our "Privacy Request Form", located on the Privacy page, to request deletion.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by other appropriate means.
